Sales Team Member

POSITION:                               Sales Team Member

STATUS:                                  Full and Part Time




The Sales Team member’s primary responsibility is to provide exemplary customer service by effectively processing information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services at Kerrisdale Lumber.


            Answer phones courteously & in a timely manner.

            Actively watch for customers in the store who require assistance and provide it quickly.

            Greet customer’s, qualify, recommend and close a sale.

            Give your full attention to the customer you are assisting.

            Return customer calls promptly

            Communication within the Sales Team is a high priority to ensure the customer gets the highest level of service possible.

            Keep the sales counter area tidy & ensure there is room to perform tasks required for

            helping customers.

            Develop & nurture strong relationships with existing regular customers.


            Customer service experience would be an asset.

            Experience with building supplies &/0r BBQ-Outdoor appliances &/or Interior Design-

            Decorating would be an asset.

            Good verbal and written English communication skills required.

            Basic math skills required.

            Proficiency with computers required.

            Proficiency with multiple languages would be an asset.
